Hi EMS-2001 Fan,

Important: I will be unable to have the call tomorrow on running the BIOME3 model. I have re-scheduled it for January 22nd at 10-12:00 Central time. The call in number is 317-233-2550. Sorry about the change.

Gopaul and Eric - NYDEC pointed out an "interesting" thing about the speciation tables in EMS-2001. They are pointing many of the on road mobile source emissions to speciation profile 2533. This is what I used for a sensitivity run several months back which was originally intended to test the sensitivity in the photochemical model to a very reactive speciation profile for on-road mobile sources. To revert it to SPECIATE 3.1 defaults Go to the EMS-2001 page and get the update file under the "Program Patches and Data Upgrades Section" .

BTW: We thought when we tested the 2533 profile that it was the most reactive profile we could find in speciate. After the fact we found out that in fact some local monitoring resulted in even more reactive profiles. In other words. There's lots of room for improvement on the speciation side.

Eric also posted something to the Emissions modeling listserve that suggested calls to discuss QA and incorporating new data into the model. I think this is a good idea. I think we have calls focused on one topic much like last weeks call for new things in 2001 or the biogenics call that we re-scheduled. Some thoughts I had were.

All aspects of speciation.
Control strategy development
When gwen's done, Using NEI v2 files in EMS
Mobile6
QA of point source inventories
QA of area source inventories.
Steps to build an On-road mobile source road network from a travel demand model output.

Does anyone else have ideas?
