EMS-95 was first developed under contract with RADIAN as GEMAP. By 1995 significant changes had been made to the model by LADCO and Alpine Geophysics and the two groups agreed to rename this new creation: EMS-95 (Emissions Modeling System-95.) EMS-95 is continually being updated and improved. It has the ability to do analyses of monitoring data, future year projection, rapid speciation, and advanced vehicle modeling. The model is capable of running 64,000 surface layer modeling cells within the same domain. This dynamo of information is compatible with the inputs needed for the Urban Airshed Model V (UAMV) thus allowing you ultimate cosmic power to predict the formation of ozone over large regional domains.
