Emissions Modeling And Emissions Inventories Page

Emissions modeling is the science of creating accurate estimates of the relevant pollutants for chemical transport modeling. This includes the correct spatial and temporal resolution as well as matching the correct chemical mechanism of the chemical transport model.

Monitoring and Data Analysis Page

Federal, state, and local monitoring agencies collect vast amounts of air pollution data annually.  The LADCO data analysis team is engaged in mining this data for evidence of trends, for spatial and temporal patterns, for clues about particle formation and transport, and for interactions between pollutants and meteorological conditions.   Several special monitoring projects have been inititated to supplement the routine data networks.

Chemical Transport and Meteorological Modeling Page

Chemical Transport Models are tools used to predict the chemical reactions and pollutant transport in the ambient air. The primary input of these models are domain wide meteorlogical conditions and emissions estimates. The primary output is cell specific concentrations of various pollutants.
