LADCO works directly with our member states on the design, implementation, and evaluation of instruments to measure air pollution in the region.

5-Year Monitoring Network Assessments

LADCO works with our member states and U.S. EPA Region 5 to develop a regional 5-year monitoring network assessment. States are required to conduct these assessments to evaluate (1) whether their networks still meet the monitoring objectives, (2) whether new sites are needed, (3) whether existing sites are no longer needed, and (4) whether new technologies are appropriate for incorporating into the network. Since 2015, we have fulfilled this requirement via an interactive ArcGIS Story Map (see below).
