The Lake Michigan Air Directors Consortium (LADCO) is hiring a scientist to lead our emissions data and air quality modeling practice. We seek a candidate with strong air quality modeling and data visualization skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the drive to become an expert on Great Lakes air pollution.

LADCO is a small team of environmental scientists. We work with regulators from the local to the national level to understand what drives air pollution in the Great Lakes region and how to reduce it. Our scientists bridge the research and regulatory communities, giving state air managers the best available technical information and methods.

The successful candidate will communicate science clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. They will contribute to a close, collaborative team and build strong working relationships with air agency staff in LADCO member states.

Applications are due November 30, 2026. We will hold phone interviews with top candidates in December and in-person interviews in January 2027. The anticipated start date is early March 2027.
