Who Should Attend: This course is designed for Environmental Managers and Specialists, Air Quality Compliance Personnel, Plant Operators, Maintenance Technicians, Reliability Engineers, Process Engineers, Operations Supervisors, and Environmental Consultants who are responsible for the operation, maintenance, performance, or regulatory compliance of air pollution control systems.

About the Course: PERM241 provides a comprehensive overview of fabric filter technology and its role in controlling particulate emissions. Participants will learn the fundamentals of baghouse design, filtration mechanisms, operating parameters, maintenance practices, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting techniques. Through practical examples and industry case studies, attendees will gain the tools necessary to improve system reliability, maximize collection efficiency, and maintain compliance with air quality regulations.

Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to explain the principles of particulate matter control and fabric filtration; identify major baghouse components and understand their functions; distinguish among different baghouse configurations and cleaning systems; evaluate key operating parameters that affect performance; recognize common causes of baghouse failures and reduced efficiency; implement effective preventive maintenance and inspection programs; interpret monitoring data and performance indicators; troubleshoot operational problems and develop appropriate corrective actions; maintain compliance with applicable air permit and regulatory requirements; and apply best practices to improve the reliability, efficiency, and service life of baghouse systems.
