Course Description
TOXC222 – Incinerators is a one-day course that provides an overview of the operation, emissions, emission-control equipment, and inspection procedures associated with small- to medium-sized solid waste incinerators. The course covers combustion principles, types and categories of incinerators, operating procedures, common operational problems, emissions and emission controls, applicable requirements, and inspection techniques. Examples of incinerators addressed include biomedical, pathological, crematory, and commercial heat-stripping units.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:
- Explain the three T’s of combustion: time, temperature, and turbulence.
- Describe the basic types and principles of combustion.
